Retired by 28

That was my dream since im 21 years old, but I'm neither retired or 28 now.

Truth is, we all have that dream whether it's 28 or 30, 35 or 40. We want to retire and do whatever we want without being tied to a place, time, waiting to clock out, looking forward to 2 days of the week, rinse and repeat.

You want to do what you want, where you want. Sipping Mimosa by the beach on a Wednesday morning just because you can. Or surfing at 3pm because who's stopping you.

And it is possible. Well I'm not there yet -- but I believe I will reach there, truly.

So this is that declaration, reigniting that dream that I have abandoned at 28 years old -- because I tried and got myself in a bunch of trouble, trouble that I do not wish upon anyone. But with breakdown comes breakthrough if you work towards it, else it's just call a breaking point or phase cause some people do not get back up.

So this blog is documenting that, the journey of retirement that I'm restarting.

And to share the experience that I had 8 years ago with property and stock investment the supposed "Rich dad, Poor Dad" way to retirement.

In short, this place is ...

A place for past me to reflect and learn from.

A place to keep present me accountable.

A place of reminiscent for the future me to look back and smile.

This is my journey and the path I had went through -- this could be very different for another person, but this is mine. And if you get some nuggets out of this, great. If no, and you disagree then perhaps this may not be the place for you.

That being said, I would love to leave these 2 questions to you for today:

  • Why do you want to retire?
  • What does retirement mean to you?
